The 2011 'Flaggschiff' concept was made to present in our magazine [www.fast-zi-nation.de..!] how Atelier Valdeig would make a second generation Maybach model. There also was an illustration of a four-door but, of course, the two-door is the main attraction.

The side profile is inspired by supersonic planes the likes of the Concorde and the Russian
TU 144. Eventually it is hard to believe it could be possible to apply the personality of these legendary aircrafts on a car body. But, just have a look at the image above to decide yourself whether it has been achieved.

Already in 2004, we created a similar concept for our magazine, using the current model as a basis. But, not only there it attracted great attention. It was also shown at lots of websites and forums, which was why international journalists took stock in the vehicle.

Besides several European print magazines, the 60 Coupe also made its way to Germany's biggest newspaper's website. The problem with the approach however was, that it's around 6 meters long, and that it features a longer trunk, modified lamps, B-pillar free windows and other details which would make a small series ultra-expensive.

As there was interest in such a two-door, we created some experimental images. For that the 57 model was used. Wheel base and other technically decisive things left untouched at that. The scope of variants includes a typical British approach - featuring a wide C-column - as well as an elegant design - with almost Italian style - in addition to further approaches.
